I have been eyeing these bags for a long time. They are definitely worth the splurge and would be just perfect update for my wardrobe.
Sadly, I cannot afford both of them:(
So... which one should I go for: proenza schouler ps1 or celine boston tote?

i vote celine! my only problem is it's a top-handle with no strap, so i think my arms would get tired from carrying it! i usually like messenger-style bags or at least ones with shoulder straps... it's a beautiful bag though!
i read one bad review of the PS1 - apparently certain colors fade easily...
The Proenza seems more practical because of the shoulder straps. Both are quite different in vibe, I guess it depends on whether you want something structured and ladylike or something edgier.
I love the colour of the Celine though.

Good point!Top-handle bags are very uncomfortable to wear plus when You grab the bag by the top handle it gives You too ladylike look.
But on the other hand, I cannot imagine myself, Celine Boston Tote with detachable shoulder strap. just doesn't match.
I am used to wearing bags over a shoulder that's why ps1 would be more useful.
Hard decision to make.

ugh, both of these bags are so gorgeous and on my covet list. as much as i love the celine tote, i say go for the ps1. the shoulder strap will come in handy.

i especially like that proenza bag. both are an excellent example of beautiful simplicity, form and function.
Both are fabulous but I think you'll wear the PS1 more! It's such a classic bag and it goes with everything. I've been wanting one for years and I should be getting one in a couple of months! Well, at least that's the plan!
